DESCRIPTION:The fifth AfricaLics PhD Academy was held at the conference hall of National Centre for Technology Management\, Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife. \nThe Academy was held over a two-week period in June 2017 at National Centre for Technology Management in Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife\, Nigeria. The programme of activities included sessions focused on innovation and development theory\, research methods\, policy and impact as well as project element. Students were selected through an open call for applications and review of applications by members of the AfricaLics Scientific Board and Secretariat.
