SUMMARY:3rd PhD Academy – Innovation and development in Africa
DESCRIPTION:The Third AfricaLics PhD Academy was held over a two week period in March 2015 at Moi University’s Coast Campus in Mombasa\, Kenya. The programme of activities included sessions focused on innovation and development theory\, research methods\, policy and impact as well as project element. Students were selected through an open call for applications and review of applications by members of the AfricaLics Scientific Board and Secretariat. The event also consisted of an Open Symposium allowing members of the public to attend and hear lectures on the ‘state of the art’ theory and debate on innovation and development in Africa\, and Kenya specifically.
